Former "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" standout Shaun Majumder talks about his latest TV effort, "Race Against the Tide," (premiering Sept. 9 on CBC).
The series is an outdoors reality competition with a pretty compelling twist: sand sculpters from around the world flock to the Bay of Fundy and then have six hours to create towering works of art before the tide comes in and washes their efforts away.
As Shaun says on the podcast, just don't use the "C" word in describing the finished works. (As in "Castles").
Majumder also talks about parenting through COVID times with wife Shelby and their adorable two year old daughter, performing virtual comedy shows for front-line medical workers, relaunching a long-planned standup comedy tour coming to Ontario this fall and other projects in the works.
