I first met Paul Sun-Hyung Lee several years ago on the set of the CBC comedy Kim’s Convenience. It was a warm and memorable conversation. That series was brand new and Paul, after paying dues on Train 48 as well as on the stage, was thrilled to finally land a leading role on a hit network sitcom.
Now the Canadian Screen Award winner begins his third season as Inspector Albert Choi on this, the 20th season of Murdoch Mysteries. The historical sleuth series airs Monday nights on CBC.
Then there is the sci-fi fantasy role he relishes on The Mandalorian and other Star Wars spinoffs which has turned the actor into a Comic-con icon. Not bad for a kid born in South Korea and raised in Toronto and Calgary who could only dream there would some day be TV and film roles for him, let along action toys based on characters he plays. Please welcome Paul Sun-Hyung Lee.
